Sobre o instrutor:
Stephen Birch vive e pratica na Holanda. Ele pratica a acupuntura japonesa há trinta e cinco anos. Além de estudar com o praticante-professor Yoshio Manaka, com quem escreveu o livro ‘Chasing the Dragon’s Tail’, ele também estudou com vários outros praticantes seniores como Kodo Fukushima, Toshio Yanagishita, Akihiro Takai, Shozo Takahashi, Koryo Nakada, Shuho Taniuchi e Yutaka Shinoda. Ele é autor de Shonishin – Acupuntura Pediátrica Japonesa e é co-autor de Hara Diagnosis: Reflexões sobre o Mar, Acupuntura Japonesa, Vasos Extraordinários e Acupuntura.
Seu novo livro co-editado sobre Qi e o Jingmai Restoring Order em Saúde e Medicina Chinesa foi lançado em 2014.
Ele é um professor bem conhecido na América do Norte, Europa e Australásia. Ele ensina workshops e programas sobre métodos de acupuntura japoneses em vários locais da Europa, incluindo Holanda, Reino Unido, Alemanha, Suíça, Escandinávia, Áustria, Itália, Espanha, Portugal e também ensina na Australásia. Ele também esteve envolvido no estudo científico da acupuntura por mais de vinte e cinco anos, com um PhD em pesquisa de acupuntura, publicando muitos trabalhos nessa área e é professor associado no Kristiania University College.
